HomeGoat (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the HomeGoat mobile application and this website at homegoat.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our services.

• Account information — such as email address, password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider), display name, username, profile photo, and optional profile details you provide (for example, birthday).
• Content you create — match and practice details, photos, comments, reactions, scores, and other material you post in the app.
• Usage and device data — app interactions, crash or diagnostic logs, device type, operating system, and push notification tokens if you enable notifications.
• Location information — when you grant permission, we may use your device location to show nearby activity on maps, suggest places, or attach location to matches you create. You can change location permissions in your device settings.
• Safety and moderation data — reports you submit about content or users, block lists, and related records needed to enforce our policies.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the HomeGoat app and related services;
• Create and display your profile, matches, feeds, and social features;
• Send transactional messages (such as email verification) and, if enabled, push notifications;
• Process safety reports, enforce blocks, and protect our community;
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues;
• Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:

• With other users — content you post (such as public match activity, comments, or profile information visible in the app) is shown to other users according to the product’s sharing and visibility settings.
• With service providers — we use trusted vendors to host data, authenticate users, deliver notifications, and operate infrastructure (for example, cloud hosting and database services). They process data only on our instructions.
• For legal and safety reasons — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security of HomeGoat, our users, or the public.
